Niane Naïane

Niane Naïane is a French-Algerian artist.

Since 2003, he has been exploring the links between classical and modern culture, between the spiritual and the profane.

His college studies, pursued both in Brussels and Paris,have taken him from the practice of visual arts to that of visual communication,before going back to school to study philosophy.These different fields of studies lead him to participate in the creation of a cultural non-profit organization that aims to revisit common interpretations of Roman art in the secular contemporary world. He also created visual pieces for cultural events in the city of Poitiers.

His artistic approach and recurring thematic aim to question our memory, whether individual or collective, as well as our human nature via the practice of photography.

He has participated in a series of exhibitions in Paris, Barcelona, Brussels and now Montreal. In addition to his work as a visual artist, he works as a free-lance graphic designer.
