Chantal Fontaine

Chantal has been exploring the monotype in printmaking since 2014. Between reality and the imaginary, she summons unconscious gestures and the subconscious. Bringing a dialogue to her work through a process that begins with the introduction of random elements in accordance with a pre-established code, she then questions the trace left by this gesture. With a bachelor’s degree in literature and psychoanalysis, she also has specialized training in the visual arts, including Japanese and Arabic calligraphy. She paints and teaches in her studio in the Rosemount District of Montreal and has published three poetry collections.

She has had solo exhibitions and has participated in several group exhibitions in Canada and Europe: Salle Royale de la Madeleine, Paris, France in 2021, Luz Gallery, Montreal 2018-2019, Atelier Circulaire, Montreal 2017-2018, the Belfry Museum, Bruges, Belgium 2011-2013-2017, Médiathèque Alexandre-Dumas, Paris 2017, Galleria La Pigna, Rome, Italy 2017, L’Espace Contemporain, Montreal 2015, Musée Ferdinand 1er, Bucharest, Romania 2015, Auditorio Cultura Municipal, Cangas, Spain 2014, Folk Art Museum, Constanta, Romania 2012. She has received awards of excellence for her work, which can be found in private and corporate collections. She is a professional member of RAAV (Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec), the Canadian Artists’ Representation, the International Association of Art and l’Union des écrivaines et des écrivains du Québec.

Mancy Rezaei

Visual artist, originally from Iran, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in visual arts, specializing in painting at the University of Tehran in Iran in 2002. In 2014, I immigrated to Canada to develop my artistic career internationally. In Montreal, I managed to find my artistic path because the city gives a significant place to new artists and diversity.

I collaborated with Diversité Artistique Montréal in 2014, I won the Abe-Limonchik Intercultural Prize in 2015, my work entered the permanent collection of La TOHU.

In 2016, I won a creation grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. I have participated in several exhibitions, including a duet exhibition with Farzaneh Rezaei at the Georges-Vanier cultural center in 2018, Pop Pavillion in Montreal in 2018, Nulle p’art autre at LA TOHU in collaboration with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Montreal Artistic Diversity in 2016.

In 2021, I finished my master’s studies in visual and media arts at the University of Quebec in Montreal and had my solo exhibition of my creation and research project of master entitled Mirage at the centre des arts actuels SKOL.

Margo Godin

Margo Godin presents a series of water mixed media on watercolor paper created over the winter of 2021. Color plays a major role in evoking aquatic shapes and seascapes.

These recent works seem to emerge from a deep symbiosis between her being, her experience and her spiritual path. Sensuality, sensibility and solubility emanate from these works.

Through multiple manipulations of washi papers, Margo attempts here to bring to life and honour the coral life that unfortunately is endangered around the world.

Margo Godin has exhibited in more than forty solo and group shows in Canada and abroad. In Montreal, she exhibited at the Klinkhoff Gallery, E.K. Voland and Liv’Art . In San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, she exhibited at Galeria Muro, Galeria Casa de la Noche and Studio Winding.
